22+ GR86/BRZ Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Trim

The steering wheel is one of the most prominent components inside your interior so why not spruce it up with a bit of an upgrade? The Driven Media Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Trim is molded perfectly to the steering wheel and gives your stock steering wheel into a much more premium finish! This may seem like a small detail, but once you have it installed in the car you’ll wonder why it didn’t come that way in the first place.

Installation Instructions

• Prior to installing the carbon fiber cover, make sure the surface is thoroughly cleaned and dry.

• Due to this piece contouring the trim around the airbag completely, the airbag needs to be temporarily popped out of the steering wheel.

• Using a plastic pry tool, pry off the two covers on both sides of the steering wheel backing. This will reveal three metal spring clips that are holding the airbag in place.

• Carefully use a long flathead screwdriver to push the ends of the spring clips to release the airbag. It does not need to be completely removed. Once it’s popped out, that gives you enough room to install the carbon fiber cover.

• Carefully peel the backing off of the double sided tape on the back of the cover.

• Place the cover into position and press it onto the OEM unit applying constant pressure for at least 30 seconds.

• The recommended ambient temperature for install is 70°F - 90°F to ensure proper adhesion.
