If you are looking to save the most weight at the rear of your 22+ VB WRX, you should consider running Remark's Full Titanium R1 Spec Catback. The Remark Catback offers a  clean and quality solution to REV up that FA24 while saving a ton of weight being a single exit system made fully out of titanium.

This full Titanium system only weighs 16 lbs (w/ resonator), which is ~22 lbs. lighter than the OE exhaust. The R1-Spec features 3.0" mandrel bent piping, high flow straight through muffler, and 4.5" slant cut tip. The piping layout favors an optimal flow path to reduce the amount of restriction. Available with or without a resonator located on the midpipe. Select the resonated version to reduce the overall loudness of the system. Bolt-in silencer available separately in two internal pipe sizes. 

Point of Failure

Most exhaust system failures happen at the welds regardless of the material. Each additional weld for the pie cut bend is a potential point of failure. Failure at the weld can be caused by: contamination of the materials, poor fitment of components, improper welding technique, poor gas coverage, too little heat, too much heat, welded too fast, welded too slow, and the list goes on. So many different things have to be executed properly to obtain a strong weld. We do not see a point of unnecessarily increasing risk of failure.
