Important Note

Some Subaru oil pans feature an internal screen near the drain-port. If this screen touches the plug, the magnetic tip may be too long to seat properly. Inspect the port with a flashlight during an oil change to verify clearance.

Subaru switched from M20 to M16 drain-plug threads on certain engines after 2010. If your drain-plug wrench size is 14 mm, this M16 plug is the correct fit.
