Important Note

Due to differences in oil pan design, some Subaru models feature an internal screen behind the drain plug opening. If this screen contacts the top of the magnetic plug, it will prevent proper sealing. Always inspect your drain port during an oil change with a flashlight before installation.

In late 2010, Subaru transitioned from M20 to M16x1.5 drain plugs on certain engines. If your existing drain plug uses a 14mm wrench, this M16 plug is the correct fit for your vehicle.
