22+ GR86/BRZ Driven.Media F1 Blinking Module

The 2022+ GR86 & BRZ are small cars that sit a bit lower than your average car on the road. With how many distracted drivers there are on the streets you want to do everything you can to improve your visibility to others. With the Driven Media F1 Blinking Module you can turn your OEM 3rd brake light into a F1 blinking brake light so that those behind you know you’re slowing down or coming to a stop. After a few quick blinks it returns to a solid brake light as to not annoy drivers around you. It utilizes OE style connectors to make installation plug and play in under 5 minutes with no splicing or modification to your OEM light necessary.

No Burnt Out LEDs + Easy Install

Don’t hassle with changing out your 3rd brake light and risking burnt out LEDs or condensation when you can easily turn your OEM 3rd brake light into an F1 blinking brake light with our module that installs within 5 minutes. All you need is a flathead to pop out the clips holding your trunk liner in place and then plug this in!

Essential mod in theory, with a small issue in practice

I originally left 5 stars because I really liked the look of the F1 blinking module, but after living with it a bit, I noticed something disappointing. On my 2023 BRZ, there’s a 90-100 ms delay between the taillights lighting up and the 3rd brake light starting its blinking sequence.

It’s not a huge deal on the road, but it’s definitely noticeable if you care about aesthetics and timing. I reached out to support and was told “this is how it was designed to work.” The issue is, I’ve seen multiple videos of people with the exact same taillights and module where the lights illuminate perfectly in sync, so I’m not sure if it’s a quality-control inconsistency or if my unit is just slower than others.

Honestly, I would not have purchased the unit if I knew there was a lag… the reason I bought it in the first place was because it appeared not to have any. At the very least, I think support could have offered some sort of compensation instead of just saying this was “by design.”

The product still works and looks great once it’s flashing, but if you’re detail-oriented like me, be aware there may be a slight lag.
