Starting from a clean-slate approach, Verus developed an in-house airfoil profile using ANSYS adjoint solver and refined the design with CFD and wind tunnel testing. By using a swan neck mounting style, the wing is fed cleaner airflow than typical bottom-mount designs, improving efficiency and keeping drag low. This low-drag approach is particularly well suited to the ZN8/ZD8 chassis, helping increase corner speed without a major penalty to straight-line performance or MPG.
