Is the BRZ ts Faster with mods?

In the last episode, the BRZ tS underwent several performance upgrades, including Eibach Lowering springs and sway bars, Pedders offset top mounts, and SPC rear lower control arms.  With these simple changes, are we any faster than before?  We find out as we put the BRZ tS up against the 996 Carrera and bring in Kevin Vo to do a bit of driving as well.

Eibach Springs & Sway Bars

The Eibach PRO-KIT springs lowered the BRZ tS’s center of gravity, while the front and rear sway bars increased roll stiffness and reduced body roll. Together, they helped the car feel flatter and more responsive through Sonoma’s corners, giving the drivers greater confidence to lean on the tires, carry more speed and generate higher lateral g throughout the lap.

SPC Lower Control Arms & Toe Offset Bushing Kit

The SPC adjustable rear lower control arms and included toe-offset bushings gave us the range needed to properly align the BRZ tS after lowering it. By fine-tuning rear camber for better tire contact and correcting toe for stability, we could make better use of the available grip. The result was more consistent tire behavior and more predictable handling through Sonoma’s fast, technical corners.

Jackson Racing Oil Cooler

Jackson Racing Track Engine Oil Cooler - 2022+ Toyota GR86 / Subaru BRZ

Sonoma’s sustained high-load laps can generate more heat than the FA24’s factory heat exchanger can manage on its own. The Jackson Racing Track Engine Oil Cooler adds a front-mounted Setrab core to help keep oil temperatures low, limiting oil breakdown and maintaining consistent engine performance throughout a session. Its thermostatic adapter and retained OEM heat exchanger also support proper warm-up, making it a practical solution for a BRZ or GR86 driven both on the street and at the track.

2027 Toyota GR86 First Look | 86 Day VLOG

We're back out in California for 86 Day! I crammed in as much into these few days as I could. We installed an UEL header onto Kyle's VB WRX with the stock catback, went to an 86 meet hosted by / anothergr86   and  / thatredgr866  , hosted our own meet with @spamsubie at @BattleAero , then we set up our booth over at Alpharex for their 86 Day meet with GR Movement which was a huge success! I probably saw more 86s there than I've seen in 3 years in Iowa! Thank you to everyone who came by to say hi! After that, we spent the next morning ripping some canyon roads with Tim and Adriel's GR86s!
